Tracy Reynolds is the Consul General of Canada to the United Arab Emirates in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. He holds a BA Honours in International Studies from the University of Saskatchewan (1993) and an MA in History from the same university (1995). Reynolds joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in 1996 and has since held various roles, including Executive Director of the Multi-Industry Sectors Division (2017-2019) and Director of Investor Services Division (2015-2016) at Headquarters.
His overseas postings include serving as Trade Commissioner in Moscow, Russia (1998-2001), Senior Trade Commissioner in Damascus, Syria (2002-2004), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2007-2010), and Jakarta, Indonesia (2012-2015). Prior to his current role, Reynolds served in Tokyo, Japan (2019-2022) as Minister (Commercial). Before his diplomatic career, he served in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves in the North Saskatchewan Regiment (mechanized infantry) from 1987 to 1993.
Reynolds has received several awards, including the Ken Sunquist Award for Service Excellence in International Trade in 2015. He is married to Tavia and they have three children.
